Just to emphasise a bit of the difference in cemeteries in Australia as the CWGC site says occurs from country to country.

This was taken last Sunday at Springvale Cemetery in Victoria. All the flowers, grass etc as there is water available.

The other is Deniliquin War Cemetery just over the border in Southern New South Wales where water can be a bit of problem.

The day I took this photo last January it was 45 degrees Celsius in the shade.

In our travels for Geoff and Sniper we have seen beautifully tended war graves and one cemetery so neglected (overgrown & partly dug up) that it reduced me to tears.

I'm not quite sure which cemetery these are from - all I know is they were taken by Roger Stoakley on the Somme !! .... maybe somebody will recognise it ... but doesn't this look lovely ?? :)

    Hi Annie,

I will have a guess at Ancre British Cemetery. I know they have red roses.

    Cheers
