My friend gave me a copy of a picture dated 1918 that included his grandfather Ples Thompson who is pictured second from right. My friend is curious to know what unit his grandfather was in when the picture was taken and what units he served in. Any suggestions? Regards, David.

I would imagine Southern Alabama Not sure birth date, will try to find out. Yes he survived the war. As of yet no family stories. Will try to find out more.
