Yes the earth shook for me last night.

It is the second time since we have lived in this house that we have felt the house discernibly shake. Last time despite being supposedly weaker it cracked a 2" thick wooden mantel beside the fireplace. This time it was strong enough to dislodge ornaments from the window sills and knock photographs over. My husband, however slept through it all!!!!

Woke me up. I thought it was one of the big white liner lorries going past, until all of the antique glass started to rattle together on the shelf. I pulled the quilt over my head and just prayed nothing would smash.
    Seemed to work

Felt nothing here! To far away from the epicentre! But experienced the effects of an earthquake in Honduras while in Belize, the bed shook and moved about a foot!

Missed all the fun! Normally I'm still up at 1 a.m., usually on this site, or at least in the process of going to bed, but last night I was in bed not much after midnight and didn't hear a thing.

Haven't inspected my chimney in daylight yet....

The earth moved for many in the UK last night...disgusting thought...

Good to hear it was a "minor" event with no reported damage or injury.
