Sixty plus years on and they still haven't learnt. Still, freedom of speech.

Yet another thing that I am ambivalent about!

Of course I totally disagree with what they stand for but I am never sure whether banning them simply affords them more credibility.

I have to believe that their prejudices can and will eventually be eroded by discussion and I do think that some of those lads are just there for a laugh.

I also think that we should be able to record a "No Vote" at elections but the older I've got the less convinced I am that unqualified universal suffrage is best for society. That said I have no idea how or what I would replace it with!

It is important to analise the reasons why it is happening.

Many people in Germany resent the liberalised laws on immigration that followed WW2 that allowed millions of foreigners to swamp their country and culture.
Finding that their elected politicians would not do anything about it, the more radicle amoung them have resorted to a more militaristic option. And their following is growing.

The Germans had one hell of a complex after the war from over nationalism.
Now liberalism has gone too far and the people want their country back.
The tragedy is that instead of the politicians listening to what their people want, they [the people] must resort to extreme measures.
But isn't that happening elsewhere too? Even Fijians want their country back.
