Favourite Naval Commanders :

    Who are your most favorite Naval Commanders? I will vote at least two of them.
    Admiral, the 'electric brain' Spruance. I think he was the perfect man for Midway, who had done his best there.
    My next vote will go for Admiral Lütjens for what he had done with limited 'resource', I hardly believe any other sea man could have done better at 'tight corners'..
    I also have a great respect for Adm Ramsey too.

    I still like Sir Francis Drake for his raid on Portobello. He lead the defence against Spainish thingie. And he was the guy who commanded the first British circum-navigation of the globe.
