    Second Lieutenant FRANK LESLIE REYNOLDS

    11th Bn. attd. 15th Bn., Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment)
    who died age 22
    on 20 July 1916
    Son of John William and Emma Reynolds, of Tibshelf, Alfreton, Derbyshire.

    THIEPVAL MEMORIAL

    On the 20th July the 15/SF were ordered to capture 1000 yards of trench from Maltz Horn Farm northwards. The Battalion suffered heavy casualties during this attack.

    "The Company made an attack and the last Officer to see Mr Reynolds says that he was leading the men and shouting "Come on boys". From the later reports of the men I am afraid there is little hope that he is alive"

    George was killed in action
