    I think it's a great idea....but the cynic in me questions the rather convenient timing.....recognise them whilst fighting their plans to close the trail for mining?

    Yes, the thought did cross my mind. However, the latest is that the real track is not where everyone walks these days so it's okay to mine where the walkers go now. Load of the proverbial if you ask me as the fighting, and dying, was not limited to the wdith of the track.

    I still find it amazing that an Australian mining company is behind the project. Money cures all I guess.
