Apparently on Ancestry if you put in the name of one of the guys you are researching ( airmen ) it brings up some records from the Royal Aero Club. The records are really just a file card with details of them passing their flying certificate however in most cases there is also a photo of the man in question - I'm not sure if thats just WW1 or if it includes WW2 ..... I can't test it as I don't have Ancestry right now .... but thought I would pass that along !!

    Hi Annie,

I don't have Ancestry either however many from GWF do and bring these file cards up repeatedly.

There is a cost for Ancestry isn't there?

    Cheers

    Hi Geoff !

My family usually gives me a subscription to Ancestry for birthdays or Christmas ... but I didn't get it this year !! ... so I have to wait for Christmas again !!

You can do pay per view but if you have a lot to do ... you may as well just get it .... though you should watch for the freebie times ..... usually 2 weeks .... then you'll be up 24/7 trying to get them all done !! :):)

I just thought it might be cool to get photographs of your "boys " !!

    Annie :)
