While I was planting cabbages in the garden yesterday another shell case turned up. This is not unusual as I have found several 303 shell cases in the past but this one is different.

This photo shows the usual type which I am sure is a 303 round and the new one is on the right. This photo shows the marking and this is a dimensioned drawing of the thing.

What caught my eye was the iron cross like symbol. An internet search failed to explain what it is so hopefully someone here will know?

Wow those are really cool! I live in a city that had a P-47 training squadron in WWII and they recently found one that was well preserved in a swamp off the end of one of our runways. It now sits in a museum in Charlotte. Keep those shells and put them on display!

Thats so cool! I don't know the exact type, but thats definitely a find.
You should take them to an antique store in your area and see how much they offer for the lot.
