Hello all. I am looking for information for a Sgt. William John Percy (Bill), whom I believe was shot down over the English Channel circa July or August 1943. Bill was a Glider Pilot, elder brother of my father. I have recently come into possession of a few of his letters posted home to his family. However, the last letter was a letter to Bill, from my father, dated 4th July 1943. There is seemingly no further post after this date. I readily recall my grandmother showing me the letter that she had received from Bill's commanding officer, explaining (in hand-writing) that Bill was MIA. Unfortunately this is missing. I do know that he had had training in Southampton and his No. was 3315780. Bill was killed at age 23, date of birth: 13 January 1920. Other known personnel - from names written upon the back of photographs are: Photo #1: Jimmy Flavell, Tom Harral, 'Stinker' Photo #2: (rank illegible, possibly officer) Walkins, Sgt. MacKenzie, Tom Harral, L/C Alex Graham Photo #3: Horace Spivey, A. K. Buchan, W. A. Pichardsay, Neil F. Heskew, Alex C. Alston Any assistance will be most welcome and if at all possible, please contact me Thank you, Andrew Percy
