    I know the Queen keeps out of the day to day running of the country but you'd think she'd have the clout to pull some strings or grab Mr Brown's attention at their weekly meeting and say "Gurkhas are British citizens...got it?" Or words to that effect (and no offence to either party).

    It is excellent news that someone like Lumley is supporting them. It was also reported on the BBC:

    The news report shows Virginia McKenna also supporting them - her husband William Lindon-Travers (of Born Free fame) was an officer in the Gurkhas
