    This is one of a series of posts to mark the international Rugby players who served in, and survived, The Great War. If anyone has further information on the men concerned, I’d be most grateful if it could be added to the thread.

    Lee, Harry played for England

    Internationals: 1 : 1907 F+

    Harry Lee was born on 8 December 1882, in Batley

    Played as a Fullback for: Tettenham College, Cambridge University (Blue 1904), Guy’s Hospital, Blackheath, Barbarians, Kent

    Profession: Medicine: Opthalmic Assistant at Guy’s Hospital; Senior Ophthalmic Surgeon, Leeds Infirmary. BA, MB, BC (1910), MRCS, IRCP (London) 1909, FRCS (1911).

    War service: Captain, Royal Army Medical Corps

    He died on 11 January 1933, in Leeds, where he was found dead in his car after a presumed seizure.
