Just joined Militarian today. I had joined World War One Talk about 2 years ago, but could not find it again today. Has Militarian taken WW I Talk over and absorbed it, as some of the layout here looks slightly familiar ? Hoping to use this forum re my grandfather, and possibly another family member, and they were both in WW I.
Welcome back! Militarian.com is an aggregate of several small military history forums, including World War One Talk. All of the forums individually were inactive, and the goal is that together they'll be stronger and foster an active community of people who may have interest in specific wars or in more than one war.
Peter, Thanks for the welcome. My grandfather served in the RAMC and was at Salonika. I have his service no. somewhere (from digging and delving about 2 yrs back), and will start searching here. The other relative was a Royal Navy Reserve Rating during WW I. I also have his number which should prove helpful in my searching.
