I love studying war history, mainly what the Germans did in World War II, I have always been interested in all the crazy types of weapons, and super weapons the Germans made in world war II such as the V-2 and V-1 or the ME-163 Komet.
Welcome Aboard. On the note i think youd be interested on this if you haven't heard of it allready. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horten_Ho_229
Hi Rockhem... Sorry that my welcome is late. I usually keep an eye on the introduction threads, but your posting totally slipped by me until today. In any case, I hope you'll find lots to talk about here. I love history, too, but my major interest is the American Civil War with a secondary interest in the Vietnam era. So those "crazy" German weapons, which is the craziest in your estimation?
I think that the craziest weapon was the Schwerer Gustav. It was a massive rail cannon, and it's shell is nearly the size of a t-34 tank! Seeing that 1350 ton railroad car move from the recoil of the gun just leaves me in awe every time I see the video of it firing. It probably isn't very practical, but it certainly is very crazy!
