My late Father was a Coldstreamer with the 6th Guards Tank Brigade and drove a Churchill tank. My sister-in-law and I just spent one week in early January on a WWII historical tour in Europe. We visited Omaha Beach where there are still remnants of the Mulberry Harbours. We also visited the American Cemetary and three British cemetaries respectively, Bayeux, Overloon and Arnhem. For anyone interested in military musems, you really must visit Liberty Park at Overloon where we spent almost four hours. The only down side of our trip was that a lot of museums were closed because it was January but we plan on going again in 2014 when they are open to the public during the summer. We also drove through the bocage following the route (or trying to) that the Guards took.
