We have come across some photographs in the possessions of my wifes late father.
Have no idea where or when they were taken and were wondering if anyone is able to identify the aircraft types in the pictures this may help us work out when they were taken. Know he was stationed at Nantwich, Woodbridge, raf_007.jpg raf_008.jpg Watten and Newmarket so with a recovery and maintenance unit so must be at one of those. Any help appreciated

Unfortunately those photos could be any of the above named sites. Woodbridge would probably have been R.A.F Woodbridge, which was a crash site on Sutton heath, near Woodbridge, Suffolk. It was later taken over by the USAF, a sister site to USAF Bentwaters, only a couple of miles apart as the crow flies.

thanks for reply, have identified aircraft now and managed to narrow to possibly two airfields, nor woodbrideg is either Calveley (nantwich) or one in north norfolk
