    Lancaster that crashed 13 July 1944 in Gatines d'Oulins. Possibly 3 Group Master Bomber.

    Where did the picture come from? The date doesn't really correspond with known losses on that date

    Well, having checked all the losses for that date, and the locations, none seem close enough.

    As of all these things memorys can be confused with time. An intriging picture never the less.

    It is indeed, though if it didn't have the stripes on the fin it could easily have been a Manchaster
