A bit of a confused article but good news all the same.

Karumba's historical boat ramp to be restored - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

A historical boat ramp in the Gulf town of Karumba will be restored after the Queensland Government agreed to fund most of the project.

The Catalina boat ramp and slipway were built during the World War II.

Karumba Council's chief executive Mark Kelleher says council will also get historical signage put up at the site.

"It was originally built by the RAAF and it was the Catalina base for refuelling and repairing what was referred to then as the empire flying boats and they connected Sydney to Great Britain during World War II," he said.
