    Hi Readers,
I have just had the pleasure of finding a very readable book on the "History of the Royal Navy".
The author is Robert Jackson, published by Paragon in 1999.
    ISBN 0-75257-988-6
The book has many superb illustrations and the author has succeeded in writing in a style that is not dry or boring, in fact exactly the opposite.
The contents start from "The Age of Sail" ending with "Into the 21st.Century"
    Not a big unwealdly tome ony 95 pages in a 6.52 x 8.25" format.
If you see it buy it you won't be disappointed, cover herewith.

    Cheers

    Hi Landlubbers,
Just started another very good book, "One of Our Submarines" by Edward Young.
Factual account of his experiences as a submarine officer.
Well written, taking you from his joining as a RNVR rookie officer, upwards to becoming a highly decorated sub commander.
Examples of duties covering most theatres of the conflict.
Publishers "Wordsworth Military Library" ISBN 1-85326-681-7

    Cheers
