So when the Germans were losing on both front near the end of 1944, Hitler still dreamed of giving western allies a blow and force them to compromise...so he could focus on the Russians.

I personally believe Hitler should have tried to make peace with the Russians instead of the western allies. Russians were tiring up bulk of German troops, and the Russians were the ones destroying bulk of German troops. I am sure the Russians hated the Germans very much after they have suffered heavy casualty in the hands of Hitler's invasion, but if the Germans were willing to give up all the land they took from the Russians maybe throw in some pieces of Poland and others too while the Russians were still no where close to regain what they have lost, maybe the Russians were willing to compromise since they could regain + gain such huge amount of territory without a fight (without suffer heavy casualty).

If that could happen, the Germans would be able to concentrate their effort on the west. It wouldn't be as hard to force the western allies off the shore again as comparing to destroy the vast army of USSR. Battle of Bulge proved it. Mere 20 divisions of Germans pulled from the strategic reserve and from the eastern front forced US/UK retreated a few hundred miles. If they could concentrate all the east front troops on the west front, they probably could retake entire western Europe fairly quick even without air superiority.

    What do you all think?
Should Hitler tried to make peace with Russians?
Do you think the Russians would accept his compromise in 1944?
Could Hitler beat the U.S./UK in western Europe if Russians quit the war in 1944? (well the Russians did quit in WWI)
