Italian Strategic Failures ...

In the immediate post-war period, it was popular to blame the Italians for a lot of the failure of the Axis strategic goals. Examples would be the failure to take Egypt, the irrelevant contribution in France and the Battle of Britain, the Quixotic adventure in Greece, and persistent logistical problems. On the flip side, in recent years, some historians downplay the Italian contribution in the overall end result of the war.

What say you? Were they a major cause of the failure of the Axis Powers in Europe and the Med? Was it ultimately irrelevant regardless? Or something else?

    Thanks for sharing.
