    This is one of a series of posts to mark the international Rugby players who served in, and survived, The Great War. If anyone has further information on the men concerned, I’d be most grateful if it could be added to the thread.

    Dickson, James Alfred Nicholson played for Ireland

    Internationals: 3 : 1920 E- (1t) W- F-

    James Dickson was born on 12 March 1897 in Enniskillen

    Played as a Wing for: Portora Grammar School, Trinity College Dublin, Mother Country

    Profession: Dental Surgeon

    War service: Lieutenant, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers; he was commissioned in the 3rd Battalion on 9 April 1915.

    Remarks: Played 2 times for Mother Country in the 1919 King’s Cup Tournament

    He died on 24 November 1963 in Enniskillen
