    Japan’s ambassador to the US apologised for the 65-mile forced march during the Second World War that left 11,000 PoWs dead.

    “We must look into the past and to learn from the lessons of history,” Ichiro Fujisaki told a veterans’ group in Texas,

    Now....will they apologies to all the others, or is it a convenient political statement as a way of continuing American support for Japan at a time when they are under threat from North Korea and China?
