    This is one of a series of posts to mark the international Rugby players who served in, and survived, The Great War. If anyone has further information on the men concerned, I’d be most grateful if it could be added to the thread.

    Cooper, John Graham played for England

    Internationals: 2 : 1909 A- W-

    John Cooper was born on 3 June 1881

    Played as a Forward for: Aston Grammar School, Moseley, Midlands

    Profession: Solicitor for the Britannic Assurance Company.

    War service: Royal Warwickshire Regiment; Mentioned in Despatches on 4 January 1917.

    Remarks: Played for Combined Midlands and East Midlands Counties (16-5) v the 1908-1909 Wallabies. Emigrated to Canada.

    He died on 26 October 1965
