According to a documentary I saw on the top ten best bombers, the Lancaster was 6th!

Mosquito was fourth.

B52 was numero uno!

 

David, I see Larry took part of my advice at least and installed phpBB, however he really needs to add forum layers like here, if everyone keeps posting all content into 1 forum important threads will get lost

 

B-52 was tops? Longevity I suppose. What was ahead of the Mossie and Lanc?

It came sixth because there was no effect gun turret underneath to protect it from the night fighters and the upward pointing cannon in their cockpits.
