The Millennium Stadium is built on the site that so many of the rugby players, from all countries, mentioned in this forum played. In their day it was the hallowed turf of Cardiff Arms Park - with a cricket ground next door. There is a slate bearing the inscription of the 16 players who represented Wales who died in the two world wars in the entranox at the Millennium Stadium. It was installed a few years ago. There is also a statue just outside the ground to Sir Tasker Watkins VC, who was President of the Welsh Rugby Union. He won his medal in WW2 and then went on to become the Deputy Lord Chief Justice. He was a great man and was delighted when the plaque was installed at the ground.

I will have divided loyalties this weekend: Welsh ancestry and Australian nationality.
