    This is one of a series of posts to mark the international Rugby players who served in, and survived, The Great War. If anyone has further information on the men concerned, I’d be most grateful if it could be added to the thread.

    Besset, Lucien played for France

    Internationals: 2: 1914 W- E- (2c)

    Lucien Besset was born on 4 January 1892, in Paris

    Played as a Wing for:

    Profession: Deputy for Paris/public works contractor

    War service: Served, and awarded the Legion d’Honneur

    Remarks:

    He died on 22 April 1975
