I believe this is thought of as a memorial ......... I would like to know more about it if anybody knows !! :)

A visit to Marguerre Camp will enable you to understand the daily life of a German soldier before and during the battle of Verdun. Here, there were no defence lines, no trenches, no barb-wired mazes, but a concrete testing, manufacturing and storage centre. Its unexpected decor and architecture give it a striking atmosphere.
For a long time, Duzey will be considered as the site of the "Big Bertha Gun". In fact, it is the site of a "max": a 20-ton marine gun capable of firing very long distances. In visiting this camp, you will discover its impressive features, the special building work carried out to accommodate the gun, the ingenious treasures used for camouflage and the impact of its shots on Verdun.

    I found Pierres pictures .....
