    Hi y'all!

Can anyone tell me where I can find out about the history of military passports? Did US occupation forces have to carry these or any other travel documents with them after WWII, say in Germany or Japan? I'm interested in specific details about travel regulations for US military personnel who were deployed in occupied territories after WWII. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated!

Have never heard of military passports. Of course, my knowledge of such matters is extremely dated. Back in the old days a military I.D. was sufficient. Since 9/11 things have probably changed.
