Given my own interests, I look for aviation related posts first, also anything relating to the naval war, and anything tagged with a name that I recognise, or a VC recipient. I'm also looking for threads to which I have contributed myself, to see if there is any reply.
Other than threads that I have contributed to, I think that the thread title has got to be a winner! Roxy PS Good effort on the posting front, Annie!
Some more thoughts about what and why I post: It is a question of do I have anything to say, and how much time I have. I look at a lot of the posts, even if I only have time to scan through quickly. But there are only so many ways you can say "very interesting" or "he was a great bloke/ cool dude". So I tend not to reply unless I have some specific information, or a definite opinion on the subject, or a related anecdote. If the thread is asking for specific information, of course I will contribute if I can, but unless it is subject that particularly grabs me, I don't have time for long searches of the internet. So in short, if I don't contribute it doesn't mean I am not interested. But I am largely a consumer rather than a contributor simply due to time constraints.
I like to look at posts about my regiments ...... ( though we haven't had too many of those !! ) I like posts where Cally adds pictures .... I like when somebody expands on a thread I've started to make me think about something else and I love it when people share their knowledge of course ... I especially like to look at the aviation threads ... because I don't know much about that ... but I learn from you Adrian and Gareth ... ( though Gareth is going to make me into a poor woman - by telling me about all these books to reference !! ) I like debatable threads ... where you can voice an opinion !! But thats me ... my Dad always said I was argumentative !!
