Good morning.. Im new to this forum Im hunting for information on 251 wing raf based in Iraq and Iran plus other peaces in ww2 .. They don't give a squadron out for my grand just a wing. I love researching the war in general along with family history. My mums mum her first husband was in raf 602 squadron killed during battle of Britain. Her next husband my grand father was in reservist ending the war as a major but were still waiting on full records. My partner and i spend hours going to former raf bases, researching history of them. Her grandfather was killed by the smith gun first soilder and not the last to be killed with that useless think. So now Im off to hunt for information on 251 wing.
