    I came across some Australian memorials that were single personal memorials ... I wonder how many people really look at them ... and I wonder about the stories behind them !

    who died age 26
    on 18 February 1915
    Son of Joseph and Annie Simon. Born at Dondingalong, New South Wales.

    EDIT ... According to his papers - he died of Measles and Pneumonia

    Heres another ... seems to me these soldiers were very much loved ! :(

    EDIT .... His papers say that Spencer died of wounds received in action Gallipoli ..... and he died at sea SS Soudan

    Included in his effects was a book of Dickens .... I wonder if he really liked Dickens ?
