Republic Spaniards in the French Resistance?

I've read in a number of sources that a good number of Spaniards that fled in the wake of the Spanish Civil War went to France. Once there, some joined the fight against the Axis with the French resistance. The Nazis even had a "S" code for concentration camp inmates for them ("Republikanische Spanier").

Would anyone know of some books or articles that goes into detail on the experience of these Spanish resistance fights? Thank you for any information.
