Gareth Budworth, Richard Thomas Dutton played for England Internationals: 3 : 1890 W- ; 1891 W+ (1t) S- Richard Budworth was born on 17 October 1867 Played as a Forward for: Christ’s College Brecon, Oxford University, Blackheath, London Welsh, Barbarians, Kent, Sussex Profession: Clergyman/headmaster War service: Second Lieutenant to serve with the Durham School Contingent, Junior Division, Officers Training Corps from 26 October 1914; he relinquished his commission on 2 July 1919. Remarks: Taught at Lancing College and Clifton College. Original member of Barbarians FC. Played for Barbarians: v Hartlepool Rovers (9-4) in 1890; v Devonshire (0-0), v Bradford (0-14), v Huddersfield (2-7) in 1891; and v Corinthians (12-24) in 1892. He died on 7 December 1937 at his London club. It was the morning of the University match, and he had a ticket for the game in his pocket.
