There are service records of Alfred William Figes who I believe could be his son who does feature on the other census records. (the age fits) Will take another look today...once I have woken up!!
You need to stop asking me....every one I look at doesn't seem to turn up much!! There is one record on A which is for Alfred William Figes born 1874. I can't really see much but I can send the pages to you if you want?
It would appear that Alfred H Figes could be: Figes, Alfred Herbert Birth Q September 1896 Lewisham Greater London, Kent, London Vol 1d Pg 1188 All Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk Son of Alfred William Figes, Grandson of Alfred Figes....keeping it simple again eh?!
