    Second Lieutenant ROBERT ARTHUR LLOYD

    4th Bn., The King's (Liverpool Regiment)
    who died age 20
    on 27 April 1915
    Son of Walter E. Lloyd, of Linden House, Aigburth Drive, Liverpool.

    Remembered with honour
    WHITE HOUSE CEMETERY, ST. JEAN-LES-YPRES

    Entrance Scholar of St. Peter's College, Cambridge. Cambridge University O.T.C.

    Commissioned 4th King's (Liverpool) Regt. Lieut. Served in France. Killed 27th April, 1918, at Ypres. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Lloyd. His Colonel wrote :- "He fell whilst gallantly leading his men, which I assure you he did very well…. His death is a great loss to the battalion. He was very keen and full of pluck. He was very popular with the officers, and the men spoke most admiringly of his behaviour in action, and they are very good judges." A fellow officer wrote :- …. "His magnificent courage in leading his men in the charge after being wounded was fully worthy of the V.C."

    Robert is also remembered on "Liverpool`s Scroll of Fame"

    So is the first picture Robert or Dickie ?? .... thats the $64,000 question .....

    I bought this from lulu some time ago ( I was going to give it to Daggers ) who said it was Robert !! :rolleyes:
