Can anybody flesh out some of these details.

Ronald Joseph (Ron) Rogers toured with the 1904 British & Irish Lions in Australia and New Zealand. He played seven matches for the Lions.
He was born in Weston in February 1883 and attended Blundells School in Tiverton, Devon. He played for Bath and Somerset. He wasn’t capped by England and didn’t play in a test for the Lions.
He died, aged 32, on 28 June 1915 at Krithia in Turkey.

Apologies. He did play in one Test v New Zealand, which the Lions lost 9-3. He was a forward.

Alas, not so far, aside from a team photograph of the 1904 Great Britain tourists. He's fifth from the left in the back row.

As he didn't play for his home country, there's not too much around. Indeed he was missing from the list of Lions players that I usually rely on.

    A little more:

he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the 4th Bn, Royal Dublin Fusiliers on 16 January 1901, and promoted to Captain in that Regiment on 21 June 1908. He was transferred to the 14th Bn, Rifle Brigade as a Captain with effect from 20 March 1915.
