It never ceases to amaze me why there is this persistence with over head power. Yes, it is needed on occasion but the majority of it, particularly in residential areas, can be put underground. We've got the technology to do so but governments who are unwilling to bit the bullet and spend the money...our money. Perth, where I used to live, is built on a large sand plain.
