RSL asks for further memorial tree protection

    It never ceases to amaze me why there is this persistence with over head power. Yes, it is needed on occasion but the majority of it, particularly in residential areas, can be put underground. We've got the technology to do so but governments who are unwilling to bit the bullet and spend the money...our money.

    Perth, where I used to live, is built on a large sand plain. New developments have underground power. Imagine how easy it is to dig through the sand!

    We will replace the tree? That's like saying that they need to knock down the war memorial....but they will build another one. Like no one would notice or care!!
