I found some WW1 soldier photos from Germany and France .... thought they maybe of interest !

If anybody would like to add anything ... please do !

We were looking for uniform pictures for another thread .... this soldier has a wonderful beard !! :)

    Simply "Bruno" on reverse.
Landsturmmann wearing usual M1913 Wachstuchmutze, M1907/10 (or 1913) feldrock with metallic "63" device on the collar (brigade number). The presence of these numbers on the uniform dates this picture pre: 14 April 1915, after this date it was ordered (AKO - Allerhochste Kabinettsorder) they be removed and replaced with Armeekorps and Bataillon numbers.

His ammunition pouches are the M1895 type, each capable of holding 45 cartridges and he is armed with a Gew 88 and S71 bayonet.
