    HMS Vanoc (H33), the V Class destroyer attached to the 5th Escort group, is still remembered for his ramming U 100 (VII B) after detecting with his primitive radar. The U 100, with a credit of 25 ships (135 600 GRT), sunk with Schepke, one of the most notable U boat ace .
