Why didn't I ever get such visits when I was at school? Not fair, I want to go back to school

    Hi Kyt,

I was lucky enough to have Sir Leonard Cheshire come to my high school as part of his wonderful charity efforts.

Speaking to veterans, most have only leaned towards such efforts over recent years. Most just wanted to get on with life as they'd had more than a life's worth of war. In their twilight years, a number are now thankfully sharing their experiences so that the younger generations remain aware of the sacrifices of their comrades.

They are truly a generation to admire.

    Cheers

    Owen
