This is pretty smart don't you think ?? During the Vietnam War soldiers used Slinkies as radio antennas by stretching the coiled-up toys between two trees.
From what i have known they, well the Aussies, had radio's with long wires that they strung up trees etc and were purposely made for that exact reason. Long thin wire antenna's had been used for decades before that. Though slinkies would probably be a perfect alternative to this other wire.
