Lower than I expected and no news on who bought it yet:

Gawd if I had the money I would have been there! But sadly I can't even afford the £60,000 a year insurance premium :(

Price seems about right but I'm a few years out of date with the market.

I was expecting a tandem, with its possibilities to carry passengers, to be higher. And the last Spit, sold to the Chinese, went higher

That Mk XVI was a time machine though. She was complete and exactly as she was when pulled out of service, IIRC. Of course who knows what work will be done to her. Haven't heard anything since then. Wonder how the Kiwi bloke who missed out on her is going with his second option - the Blenheim in the US?

She's staying here in the UK and the new owner intends to fly her as much as possible. YEY!
