Someone who knows my interest in modelling sent me this link. http://spitfiresite.com/hobbies/modelling/2009/03/cousinet-3rd-scale-spitfire-mk-ix-model.htm The whole site is well worth bookmarking; I hadn't come across it before http://spitfiresite.com/ I wonder if this Frenchman is going to paint the model; you'd need a lot of tins of Humbrol, and anyway it looks great in aluminium.
Spitfire 1/3 scale Hi Adrian This is the most magnificent model of a spitfire, I only wish I had the talent and the time to try and equal it. I wonder if it would ever be a flying model. A friend of mine in Spain sent me a clipping of an Australian kit from which you create a flying scale model that you can sit in and fly. I will try to share with you of a copy of the clipping. After all whats £130,000:00 compared to the thrill of flying a legend! Cheers Keith lane: Pics as best as poss. sorry about the creases!
Spitfire models Hi Adrian, Further to the above. Its an Australian Kit, I wonder if there are any flying in Aussieland. Cheers Keith
Hi Keith I think this must refer to the "Spitfire Mk26" replica which we have a thread on, and which as it happens David just resurrected so that it is now in "portal". There are certainly some flying! http://ww2chat.com/forums/war-air/3272-strange-spitfire.html Adrian
