    I thought this was an interesting and surprising statistic ...... Scotland had the most casualties ..... :(

    Rugby Internationals killed in world war I -

    Scotland 30
    England 27
    France 23
    New Zealand 12
    Wales 11
    Australia 9
    Ireland 9
    Wales 3
    South Africa 4
    Germany Not available

    I think that I saw somewhere that at least one USA international was killed in the War, but I can't confirm it.

    Hi Gareth !

    The only one I can find is Dan Carroll ..... he served in the American Army in the First World War and went on to play, despite having been wounded, for the Australian Army in the King’s Cup tournament (a mini-Rugby World Cup) in 1919 !
