On 27th October 1922 the Stock Exchange War memorial was unveiled by The Earl of Balfour, K.G., O.M. The details here are taken from the Order of Service from that day. There are 408 names listed in the memorial booklet. There is also a further book entiled "THE STOCK EXCHANGE MEMORIAL OF THOSE WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918" published by Naval & Military Press, ISBN 1-84342-141-0; the names listed in this book do not necessarily agree with the dedication booklet names. Those listed in this second book are marked *, those not in the dedication booklet are marked †. Note: In 1914, The Great War, meant the Exchange market was closed from the end of July until the new year.
