I came across this Memorial grave when I was researching for some Channel Islanders ...... I thought it was very poignant ! .... they all died within about 6 weeks of each other ..... Granite cross in memory of 3 Stranger brothers In proud and loving memory of the three sons of William and Ellen Stranger, Easterbrook, St Sampson, who gave their lives for Britain’s cause in the Great War, and passed on to the fuller life. Pte Frank Stranger, AIF, age 35, died of wounds March 22nd 1918. 2nd Lieut. George Stranger, RGLI, age 23, killed in action 11th April 1918, Capt. Harry Easterbrook Stranger, MC, RGLI, age 26, died of wounds 11th May 1918”. Until we meet again” Then I found this article ... Liz has been doing a lot of research on many WW1 casualties ! .....
