hello everyone. I'm the daughter of a vet of WW2. I've always been interested in the history of WW2 and Civil War. I'm currently doing some deeper research in the role that Switzerland played in WW2 and writing a novel on the topic. Their "neutral" stance was not so neutral as some were indeed neutral, others pro Nazi and others staunchly for the Allies and assisted efforts to defeat the Axis powers. Within the Allies sympathizers were those that attempted to get significant individuals out of German occupied territory. I'm trying to find out if those people were recognized by their government for their efforts. Anyone with information can email me at andierendon@gmail.com. I'm Swiss by decent and I can tell you we are very private folk and the country has remained extremely closed in many ways and is very difficult to research in terms of its actions in WW2 Looking forward to reading more on these fasciating topics.
