I am an author named A.J. Baime working on a book that posits (very dramatically, I hope) the thesis that WWII was a war of mass production. With all due respect to the soldiers that fought and perished, I am focussing on the "production battle." Whichever side built the most tanks, trucks, and (most importantly) airplanes would win. The crux of my book takes place in Detroit. I am curious what members of this forum would make of such a thesis?
