Nice one Owen. Well, apart from the biplane (serial F..something) I recognised all the others so feel rather smug. Cheers
Great photos! The Hind was presumably at Old Warden as well; I don't think it ventures far from there. Some of these shots must be fairly old; I remember the Spitfire XIV in silver with the red flash but it must have been some time ago? What is the interior shot? An elderly aircraft, with three throttles - Lufthansa's JU52 I presume, or possibly a Ford Trimotor? Adrian
Blast...would shake my fist defiantly if I hadn't spent all my effort thumbing my nose! Now I think about it those controls in a Dornier would be above the head...assuming they were of similar layout to the Catalina. Is that how the Cat was - dodgy memory at the moment. Damn you Monday!
No mate, She's the real deal. It was a very significant day for me to get up close and personal with Smithy's aircraft. Cheers Owen
Ok, I have now wiped the smug look off my face......the cockpits look so similar I just passed over it. eep:
